How to install a Worpress theme

1. Login to your dashboard on ‘http://yourdomainname.com/wp-admin’ with your username and password

2. Select on your main dashboard ‘change theme’

3. In the left column, under the menu ‘Appearance’ the ‘Add new theme’ button will show – click the button

4. To install a free theme: select your criteria, press ‘Find Themes’. Wordpress will search for a theme.
Select the theme you like and press ‘install’

5. You might want to download a theme from a website (for example if you use the Thesis theme). Go to the relevant website, dowload the zip file and save it on your computer

6. Once you have downloaded the file. Go to your dasboard to the left column: ‘Appereance’ – ‘Add new Themes’.
On the page that just opened, you will find under the header ‘Install themes’ a link called ‘upload’. Press the link and in the new page press ‘browse’: select the zip file of the wordpress theme on your computer. Press ‘open’ and then ‘upload’

7. The theme will automatically be installed

8. To activate the theme: press ‘activate’!
