Do you find that your blog posts sometimes get very long and you would like to make it easier for your readers to navigate around in your blog? It is then useful to create links within your website or blog. So how can you do this?

Well you need a little bit of coding to create a link within your website or blog.  You can set is up in a few easy steps:

1. Locate where you want to link from.

2. Within your wordpress dashboard and  for the post /page what you would like to update:  Click on ‘HTML’ page to be able edit the coding of your page

3. Add the following code around the text you want to link from:

4. Locate where you want to link to. You can link to a specific word or sentence or just to a location (ie have your location in mid air).

5. Put the following code around the text you would like to link to or before or after the text you would like to link to. The code to add is:

6.  Publish/update your page and you have created a link within your website or blog!

# The ‘ShortKeyWord’ can be any word you like. Keep it short and simple, and preferably without special characters or spaces.

So here an example:
If you would like to link FROM HERE to the top of the page:
1. We located where we wanted to link from

2. We click on the HTML page

3. We replace ‘FROM HERE’ with the code

4. We located where we wanted to link to: ie the top of the page

5.  We add the following code at the top of the page

6. Save/update the page. Done!
